Can I change the batteries of a Norelco rechargable beard trimmer?

My Norelco beard trimmer, model T6000, no longer works. The battery looks like AA but its covered in red rubber, and looks soldered onto the unit with flimsy metal ends. Should I just throw this thing out, or can it be fixed?

You should be able to change them. Find Norelco's number and contact them if you have problems.

Blown beard trimmer/adapter charger using the wrong voltage plug in a foreign country. Is the trimmer blown?

I used my beard trimmer charger/plug from Canada in China and we are on different voltage settings. We're 110 and their 220. Now my trimmer won't hold a charge. Is the charger/plug blown, the trimmer or both?

Check the charger, it should say on it what voltages it is designed to accept, either 110-120 volts, 200-230 volts, or both.

If it is designed for both, then we can assume it is probably still working, and the trimmer is dead. If it is 110-120 only then it is most likely toast.

Only way to know for sure it to try a new power adapter. Generic ones can be found at an electronics store, and always come in handy.

how can I fix the beard trimmer part of my Norelco razor?

I have a Norelco electric razor. The shaving apparatus still works fine, but the beard trimmer element (on the back side) just stopped working a couple days ago.
The beard trimmer snaps up. There is a little plastic piece that moves back and forth and it is supposed to connect to the blade and move the blade, but somehow this connection seems to have stopped working. The little plastic piece still moves back and forth but the blade no longer movies.

Any ideas how I can fix this? I've had the razor for about four years, and I don't want to replace it yet because the main functions (the shaver) still works fine.


I got it at Sears, but I no longer live anywhere near a Sears or any similar business, so I can't take it to get fixed.

Do a google.com for NORELCO and look for CONTACT US. Call them and tell them your problem. The tekkies can probably walk you through it or they will ask you to send it to them if the warranty is still good.
Disposables don't have that problem.

ok basically im hot as hell with this beard mustache goatee thing im rocking now so i was wondering what are the best beard trimmers so i can keep it manageable without having to shave it all off oooxoxoxoxox

I just use a standard head-shaver with a no. 1 clip on it...
